Police Assistant Director in Kumbur Payam, Heiban County of Nuba Mountains condemned acts of abortion in the area.
Musa Bashir was reacting after a 16-year-old girl was hospitalized for aborting a a child on Saturday, Radio Voice of Peace reports.
The police confirmed arresting the boy who impregnated the girl and the woman involved in the act of abortion.
The Police Assistant Director said investigation is still ongoing about instruments the woman use to perform the bad practice.
He added that the crime of abortion is the same with murder.
Bashir argues all mothers to pay close attention to their daughters especially teenagers.
