The situation in Wau is difficult as civilians fear to move freely, says Communication Officer of the International Committee of the Red Cross or ICRC.
Aida Khamis told CRN that ICRC team will remain in Wau town to help treat the wounded people and prepare themselves for any emergency.
The officer adds that the team has started treating so far so far twenty-nine wounded persons, but they did not yet start to collect dead bodies.
ICRC Surgical team’s mission is in Wau Teaching Hospital to deliver life-saving services.
