The Catholic Bishop of Tombura/Yambio on Palm Sunday prayed in Yambio Central Prison.
Bishop Barani Eduardo Hiiboro Kussala this year declared Palm Sunday as the day to prayers to prisoners in Gbudue State in South Sudan, Radio Anisa reports.
The Christians of St Mary Catholic Parish on Sunday started their celebration by blessing of palms at Yambio Central prison and march to the parish.
Bishop Hiiboro says the entry of Jesus Christ to Jerusalem on a donkey was the fulfillment of the prophecy that the king will be able rule without end.
He added that Jesus walking on a donkey to Jerusalem with his people was educating Christians to be humble and do greater things by caring, being patient and forgiving one another.
The Bishop prayed for all detainees all over the country that they may have justice for whatever has happened.
