Tonj State Traffic Police Officer encourages parents to take care of their children at home to avoid them from loitering in streets.

John Bak says taking care of street children is the responsibility of the government, but now it is difficult to keep them, Radio Don Bosco reports.

Bak mentions that there is no place where the government can keep the big number of street children.

He says those loitering in the market are not orphans, but they go to street due to lack of parental care.

The officer states that if parents are drunkards the children cannot stay at home, but go to streets.

The leader made the remarks on Thursday in Tonj.
