Caritas Torit is training ten community health workers on animal health and management in Palataka area of Ayaci County in Imotong State.
The training is under the food security project funded by Caritas Luxemburg, Radio Emmanuel reports.
Caritas Torit Veterinary Officer, Miriam Nakale, says the training is to prepare health personnel to offer services to farmers once they receive the animals.
Nakale says the organization will offer similar training to the same animal health workers before the end of the year and award them certificates.
Caritas Torit wants farmers not only to cultivate, but also practice dairy farming in Palataka, she adds.
The three-day training that started on Wednesday drew participants from all areas of Ayachi County.
