A team of mobile health care is treating hundreds of local communities in Imotong State, supported by Generation Initiative Organization or GIO based in Torit.
GIO is getting funding from UNICEF to provide basic primary health services by going out to the rural areas where it is difficult to access health services, Radio Emmanuel reports.
Emmanuel Ezema is the representative from Imotong State Ministry of Health. He says the project targets the most vulnerable people, including pregnant women.
Tobia Magezi, head of Generation Initiative Organization says they freely treat common diseases like malaria.
Magezi discourages people from going to witch doctors to seek medication.
The mobile clinic team will also distribute millions of treated mosquito bed nets to help locals prevent their families from malaria.
