Promote unity, love and take care of one another to honour Bishop Rudolf Deng Majak, says President of Sudan Catholic Bishops Conference.
Bishop Barani Eduardo Hiiboro told mourners on Friday that bringing peace to Wau and the whole Greater Bahr El Ghazal region will be a respect to the late Bishop.
He called on the intellectuals of region to return to God to build the kingdom of heaven.
Bishop Hiiboro challenged people of Bahr El Ghazal to read and appreciate their history of the Catholic faith of being the first in South Sudan.
Stop killing one another and resolve the problem of Wau alone for the region to live in peace, the Bishop added.
Bring peace to the region so that IDPs taking refuge in the churches and NGOs’ compounds return to their homes, Bishop Paride Taban, Emeritus Bishop of Torit told the government officials.
He said South Sudanese are being insulted in all parts of the world because of the ongoing ‘senseless war’.
Wau Diocesan Administrator Fr Marko Mungu says the memories of the late Bishop Rudolf Deng Majak will not be forgotten.
He prayed that may the death of the Bishop bring unity and lasting peace to Wau and the whole country.
