Wildlife Service spokesman accuses the SPLA of involving in activities that leads to the destruction of untamed animals.
 
Brigadier General Khamis Adieng Ding claims some members of the army are engaging in poaching operations, Radio Bakhita reports.
 
He encourages South Sudanese to protect wildlife resources.
 
The spokesman made the allegation while speaking to reporters during the World Wildlife Day celebration in Juba.
 
Radio Bakhita called SPLA Spokesman Brigadier General Lul Ruai Koang, but he declined to respond to the issue.
 
He prefers using administrative channels to look into the matter.
 
General Paul Malong Awan, SPLA Chief of Staff, earlier warned SPLA forces on the issue.
 
He says any SPLA soldier involved in the act will be court-martialed and recommended for further trial according to national wildlife laws.
 
President Salva Kiir has called for the establishment of a special court to prosecute wildlife related crimes.
