Priests of the Catholic Diocese of Wau met and elected Diocesan Administrator ten days after the death of Bishop Rudolf Deng Majak on March 6 in Germany.
The college of consultants of Wau chose Fr Marko Mangu to administrator Wau, Monsignor Roko Taban Musa, Apostolic Administrator of Malakal told the faithful, Radio Voice of Hope reports.
Archbishop of Juba Paolino Lukudu Loro congratulated the Wau and the new administrator for the step the priests took in the diocese, he adds.
Monsignor Taban announced that the Vatican Ambassador for South Sudan and Sudan, Charles Daniel Balvo will accompany the body of the late Bishop Rudolf Deng Majak to Wau.
President of Sudan Catholic Bishop Conference Bishop Barani Eduardo Hiiboro advised all priests, sisters, brothers and the faithful to cooperate with Fr Mangu, Monsignor Taban said.
