The Episcopal Church of South Sudan and Sudan Yei Diocese has put to final rest its Lay Reader Simon Kwaje James Yata.

Luate David John, Diocesan Secretary-General told Radio Easter that Simon Kwaje went missing since Sunday evening after the Bari mass at the Cathedral.

He says that the late proceeded to Dar- el- Salaam market where he was picked by unknown armed men to give a statement and did not return home until he was found dead on Friday afternoon.

Luate says that the church continues to pray for peace in the country because all events leading to the loss of lives of citizens is because of insecurity.

Late Simon Kwaje was born in 1955 in Lainya County and moved to Yei in 1978.

He served the Diocese of Yei as an instrumental Lay Reader for over 10 years.
