The Governor of Yei River State is urging women to immediately report and show out victims of rape to police for the perpetrators to face the law.
David Lokonga Moses says women should not fear reporting rape victims as the government is mandated to protect civilians, Radio Easter reports.
He describes those who rape, loot and kill civilians as enemies of South Sudan.
Governor Lokonga says those raping, looting and killing people are already cursed.
The governor made the remarks on the International Women’s Day on Wednesday at Yei Freedom Square.
