Ceasefire Monitor in Wau killed by Opposition, investigation indicates

The Ceasefire and Transitional Security Monitoring Mechanism, CTSAMM investigation found that its liaison officer was killed by armed opposition in Wau.
 
CTSAMM Chairman, Major General Molla Hailemariam, during the opening of Board meeting says the officer was tortured and murdered by members of the opposition, Radio Bakhita reports.
 
He calls for actions against the perpetrators.
 
Hailemariam reports continuous fighting in Greater Upper Nile and Equatoria regions, making it challenging to reach the conflict affected areas.
 
He urges parties to stop fighting as security situation deteriorating in the across the country.
 
There have been reports of restriction, harassment and intimidation of ceasefire monitors in the field.
 
The official accused both government and opposition of denying them access to reach the conflict affected areas.
