Wau town Mayor is calling on all the faithful irrespective of their religion to attend the national prayers in the Catholic Cathedral.
Mel Aleu Goc says the prayer declared by the president last month is to help pave way for peace, Radio Voice of Hope reports.
He urges all citizens to attend to the prayer so that God may change the hearts of the leaders to work according to His will.
Aleu reports that unknown armed men one soldier was killed near Salam market on Wednesday.
Last month the President Salva Kiir Mayardit declared March 10, 2017 a national prayer day.
