Women call for empowerment to participate in development and reduce the gap of gender inequality in the country.
The women made the call while celebrating the International women Day at Nyakuron Cultural Center in Juba on Wednesday.

Minister of General Education Deng Deng Hoc says the government has started empowering women by supporting girls’ enrollment to schools.
Meanwhile, Vice President James Wani Igga says women should be empowered to perform the same duties men do.
He says women have important roles to play in the community.
The International Women Day was under the theme: ‘Be bold for change’.
