Women in Juba are appealing for peace and equality in the country as they celebrate the International Women’s day.
They say through peace, women would be able to exercise their right by exchanging ideas, Radio Bakhita reports.
The women complain of high prices of commodities in the markets due to the war.
On Tuesday, the Minister of Gender, Child and Social Welfare called for women’s empowerment economically and girls’ education in South Sudan.
International Women’s day is celebrated yearly on eighth of March.
The theme, ‘be bold for change,’ aims at empowering women for sustainable peace and development in the country.
