Médecins Sans Frontières or MSF says it is closing down and handing over its project to the Bor State Hospital.
Field Coordinator in Bor Shaukat Muttaqi says MSF will remain committed to support the state ministry of Health after the project has ended.
He adds that the closure follows a three-year intervention to improve health care, reduce deaths and rehabilitate the hospital.
The Coordinator says the project was also set up to train health workers.
He explains that MSF teams have trained 70 medical staff in pediatric care, outpatient consultations, immunization, emergency and surgery.
Muttaqi mentions that MSF has also trained people on sterilization pharmacy and waste management, laundry services and maintenance of the laboratory.
MSF started working in Bor State Hospital from 2005-2008 and returned to support the hospital in 2014.
