Peace Commission trains inter-faith Council on conflict management

Justice and Peace Commission of the Catholic Diocese of Tombura/Yambio trains the inter-faith Council on conflict analysis and management.
 
Acting Director Alison Gizzam says the two-day training aims at strengthening the capacity of the council to mediate conflicting people, Radio Anisa reports.
 
He says the participants will focus on the concept of conflict, tools of analysis, contributing factors, conflict and resolutions.
 
Alison mentions that the Commission targets Inter-faith Council, civil society organization, women union, youth and traders to know their views.
 
Fr Ezekiel Sungerukuari James, Diocesan Chancellor says religious people are responsible to preach love, justice and peace.
 
Dominic Batikayo, Acting Director for Development and Peace Office says it is a challenge to reconcile hostile people.
 
Previously, Justice and Peace Commission carried activities on land, border conflict, peace and reconciliation and access to justice.
