The community of Maridi Municipality has started opening roads to access demarcated areas, says an official.
Daniel Udada Gbandi, the Municipality Mayor says he has mobilized the community to open up the roads, Radio Anisa reports.
He urges community members to take the initiative positively to realize development in the area.
Mayor Udada observes that roads are very useful for pregnant mothers’ fast transportation for safe delivery in medical facilities.
Roads also help police to respond quickly in case of chaos in the community, he says.
Maridi State is facing a serious fuel shortage forcing some government officials to walk to work.
