UNMISS trains stakeholders on human rights and sexual violence

United Nations Mission in South Sudan or UNMISS has trained stakeholders on human rights protection, abuses and sexual gender based violence in Yambio.
 
Radio Anisa reports that 21 participants from different institutions including Police, Prisons’, Wildlife and Criminal Investigation Department participated in the six-day training.
 
Hellen Onzia from UN Police Unit in Yambio calls on traditional leaders and South Sudan Police to treat any case of sexual gender based violence urgently.
 
Anni Francis from the department of gender in Gbudue State Ministry of Education confirms sexual violence is common in the area.
 
The training was organized by UN Police Department at UNMISS in Yambio.
