President Salva Kiir has directed cabinet ministers to show up to answer parliamentary summons.
He says it is normal in a democratic system that the national legislature summons the executives for questioning, Radio Bakhita reports.
President Kiir made the directive while addressing parliament on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, Rajab Mohandis, Director for South Sudan Network for Democratic Elections urges parliamentarians to discuss matters of public interest such as the prevailing crisis.
Last year, some ministers failed to show up to respond to legislative inquiries.
