Conflict between Tonj and Wau not communal, says official

 

Madit Malek Akuien says opposition forces under the leadership of Dr Riek Machar are responsible for conflict in the two states, Radio Don Bosco reports.

 

Minister Malek says some thieves in Tonj took advantage of the conflict to loot families of war affected people.

 

Last month, cows were raided from Tonj pastoralists who went to Jur land in search of water and pasture.
