The Episcopal Church Bishop of Yei urges remaining residents to prepare the land for early crop planting as calm returns to the area.

Most Yei residents have fled for refuge in Uganda following tense insecurity in July last year, Radio Easter reports.

Bishop Hillary Luate Adeba urges the residents to consider planting crops like beans, maize and vegetables

But, the bishop cautions the citizens that big farms are inaccessible now due to insecurity.

Bishop Luate wishes silence of guns remains forever in the area.

With relative peace in place, nobody will desert Yei, he observes.

Bishop Luate believes if killing stops, most people will not run for refuge.

He was speaking at Yei Emmanuel Cathedral on Sunday.
