The two governors of Tonj and Wau States met on Thursday to brief their communities to end cross border conflict in Jur River area.

Akech Tong Aleu, Governor of Tonj State, says the meeting aims at finding out the real cause of conflict and who the warring parties are.

He says two incidents in Wadalel and Achot worsened the situation in Jur River territory.

Governor Tong says rumours indicate that it is conflict between Jur and Dinka tribes.

Andrea Mayar Acho, Governor of Wau State says he is much concerned in resolving the ongoing conflict.

He expresses disappointment over lack of concern about the situation in South East of Wau town.

The meeting brought together intellectuals, politicians, chiefs and ordinary citizens from the conflicting two communities.
