Creation of more states in Western Equatoria should be used for fostering development, but not for dividing people, says Maridi State Minister of Information.
Peter Saki emphasizes on unity among the people of Western Equatoria and the whole South Sudan, Radio Anisa reports.
He says the relationship between Maridi and the neighbouring states in greater Equatoria is good.
Last week the governor of Amadi, Joseph Ngere, visited Maridi to strengthen the relationship between the two states, he adds.
Saki says 2017 should be the year of peace and unity among the sons and daughters of Equatoria and South Sudan at large.
The minister was speaking to Radio Anisa in a telephone interview on Wednesday in Yambio of Gbudwe State.
