The Catholic Diocese of Tombura-Yambio on Tuesday distributed humanitarian assistance to internally displaced persons or IDPs in Riimenze.
Nyoko Victor, Humanitarian Response Manager says the food items distribution target 300 Households in Riimenze church premises, Radio Anisa reported.
He says Catholic Relief Service during its visit to the church pledges additional support of food items and repair some boreholes.
Victor appeals to other humanitarian partners to support the IDPs with some seeds and agricultural tools to cultivate for themselves.
In another news development, the Director of St Teresa Nzara Hospital is expected to visit the IDPs in Riimenze very soon with some First Aid medical kits
Last Sunday, Bishop Barani Eduardo Hiiboro visited Riimenze to encourage the IDPs.
