The Centre for Strategic Studies in the University of Bahr el Ghazal in collaboration with Centre for Peace and Development Studies in the University of Juba has organized the second phase of peace dialogue.

The dialogue focuses on “strengthening social fabrics among people of Wau State”, Radio Voice of Hope reports.

The academia intends to find community-based solutions to recurrent conflicts in the country.

Anthony Charles Mgberende, the Deputy Governor Wau State opened the discussion.

He admits that there is war in the country.

He adds that there are groups of people benefiting from conflict and tribalism in the country.

The Deputy Governor blames university graduates for promoting tribalism instead of being agents of change in society.

The first phase of peace dialogue was held in November last year in the same university hall.
