A priest of Yei Catholic Diocese advises Christians to take oath for truth.
Fr Tom Poru says if any person takes an oath falsely it will cause him or her problems, Radio Easter reports.
He says many people who deny their mistakes while swearing die of snakebite, thunder strike or accidents.
The priest decries the fact that some South Sudanese who do wrong are released from prisons while the right ones are held behind bars.
Fr Poru urges armed persons to listen to people’s advice.
He says on Saint Josephine Bakhita’s Day, a person was shot and burnt in a small church building.
Priests normally change clothes in the hut where the shooting and burning was carried out.
Fr Poru says soldiers were deployed next to the church in Nyongwe area where the incident happened.
They denied having carried out the killing, the priest says.
Fr Poru was speaking on Sunday at Christ the King Cathedral in Yei.
