The Diocesan Coordinator of the Catholic Diocese of Rumbek on Sunday confirmed eleven candidates at St Francis Parish of Cuiebet in Gok State.
Fr John Mathiang Machol in his homily calls on the candidates to follow examples of Christ who committed his life to spread the good news to the whole world, Radio Good News reports.
He says following Christ means experiencing suffering and that if a Christian has not experienced suffering his or her faith is weak.
Fr Mathiang stresses the need to have a strong Christian family and that a strong church means a strong family life and witness.
He urges the new candidates and Christians to strengthen their faith through tireless work until the end to have lives to have everlasting life.
The eleven young boys and girls promise to be closer to God in prayers by serving the Catholic Church and people of the Almighty Father.
