Eighty-five percent of the population of Kajo-Keji the fled the place for refuge in Uganda, says Parish Priest of Sacred Heart Lomin of Yei Catholic Diocese.
Fr Jesus Aranda says about 75 thousand people were forced to leave their homes by insecurity and conflict.
The main market and the local hospital in Wudu have become almost ghost places, only few residents can be seen around, he adds.
The priest explains that thousands of Kajo-Keji residents are leaving the area daily on foot, by bicycles, motorbikes or in lorries carrying some of their belongs.
Some Missionaries say church congregations have drastically reduced and they are assessing the situation.
They disclose that very few students have been enrolled in Kajo-Keji schools this year as most of them and teachers left the area fearing more insecurity and violence.
The prospect is that school might not open this year in Kajo-Keji, if the situation does not improve.
