The Executive Chief of Aguka Payam in Tonj County complains that shortage of water has hit the area hard.
Chief John Njuru Dichol appeals to the government and non-governmental organizations to improve water situation in the area, Radio Don Bosco reports.
He says only one borehole is functioning, the other three are broken down.
Chief Njuru urges the government and well-wishers to consider their problems and intervene immediately.
Women representative of the area Madara Gbayi says the disease ‘unknown gunmen’ still exists in the area, causing panic among residence.
She adds that two pupils were looted last week on their way to school to register.
The two leaders raise complaints during their visit to commissioner of Tonj town on Wednesday.
Aguka Payam is 26 kilometres from Tonj town.
