Comboni Missionaries visit refugee camps in Northern Uganda

Comboni Missionaries in Kajo-Keji Lomin Parish have visited refugee camps in Northern Uganda after observing continuous stream of people fleeing.
 
South Sudanese are running away from insecurity characterized with sporadic fighting in villages, the missionaries have confirmed.
 
Rumours of imminent attacks also fuelled the movement into Uganda.
 
Others fear the presence of South Sudan army in their villages as a security risk, the Comboni Missionaries have revealed.
 
Terrible economical crisis in the country is also contributing to the run for refuge, the missionaries say.
 
Father Jesus Aranda and Sister Margaret Wamaru visited Morobi and Belameling Refugee Camps in Moyo District of Uganda.
 
The visiting pastoral team found out that the reality of South Sudanese refugees in Northern Uganda is very painful and frustrating.
 
The refugees in Uganda are living in very poor conditions, the missionaries observe.
