The Town Clerk of Yei River County urges cattle sellers to get receipts from traditional chiefs before selling at the market.
Azariah Khamis Noah says many animals of people are been stolen and sold at the market at any price, Radio Easter reports.
He adds that anyone who wants to sell animals should be given a receipt by the area chief.
The Town Clerk was speaking on Thursday while touring dirty hotels.
They found one person selling goat without receipt and fined him 250 South Sudanese pounds.
