Angelo Anei leads Tonj in Primary Leaving Exams

Angelo Anei Majak Akol of Tonj Academy School led Tong State in 2016 Primary Leaving Certificate exams, scoring 471 out of 500 marks.
 
Acting Minister of Education James Machok announced that Emmanuel Mabeny Marial of the same Academy took the second position with 463 marks, Radio Don Bosco reports.
 
Acuil Yol Acuil of Tonj Academy stood with Bakhita Ading Jok of Don Bosco in the third position.
 
Minister Machok says 1200 pupils registered, but only 1143 sat for the exams including 185 female candidates.
 
Only three pupils failed bring the total candidates bring 99.7 percent passed, he adds.
 
The minister says 2016 enrollment was poor due to the fact that Tonj was newly created.
 
Minister Machok applauds the parents and teachers of the pupils for the support they have shown.
 
He says the ministry has a plan to grant school fees to those who passed well.
 
The Council of ministers will discussed the scholarships for best performing students.
 
Earlier Director-General in the ministry of Education Enyisio Mathuc welcomed the minister of Agriculture to announce the results on behalf of the minister.
