The United Methodist Committee on Relief or UMCOR is distributing vegetable seeds to the internally displaced persons in Yei River County.
Food and Agriculture Organization or FAO provided the seeds with support from other development partners, Radio Easter reports.
Edmond Taban Gogo, Acting Director-General in the State Ministry of Agriculture, says they have all the variety of seeds which were supposed to be taken to Lasu refugee camp.
The needy population will benefit from the seeds, he adds.
Taban says last year’s plantation was up to date despite the insecurity that affected the state.
Most of the crops are still being harvested, he adds.
The seeds distributions commences after completing registration.
