The President of the Republic is expected to visit Yei in February and attend the celebration of Episcopal Church of South Sudan and Sudan, says Government Spokesperson.
Michael Makuei Lueth says the people of Yei; especially the churches invited President Salva Kiir Mayardit to visit them and he has accepted the request.
He says the president visiting date will be decided next month.
The First Vice President and the other government officials during their visit urged the armed opposition in Yei to accept the ceasefire and cantonment areas, says Makuei.
The spokesperson says there is relative calm in Juba.
