The Catholic Bishop of Tombura-Yambio Diocese is calling on the government to collect illegal guns in the hands of people.
Bishop Eduardo Hiiboro Barani strongly condemns the shooting of guns during the New Year celebration which scared many people, Radio Anisa reports.
He says the guns should be collected for South Sudanese to live in peace this Year.
Bishop Edward advises citizens to learn how to use the modern technology and be peace makers to make the country a better place to all.
He calls on people to leave the past, stop killing and open a new page.
