The headmaster of Makerdit Primary School is complaining of lack of enough teachers.
Dominic Dut says the school has only sixteen teachers.
Only four of them are government employees and twelve are paid by the school administration, Radio Don Bosco reports.
He says one thousand and two hundred pupils were enrolled last, but three hundred dropped out due to insecurity in their home villages.
According to the government policy the number of teachers is too small to handle over one thousand learners, says the headmaster.
He plans to meet the Parent Teachers Association, or PTA to discuss about payment of new teachers.
Mr Dut says low payment has forced some teachers to quit the profession.
He calls for cooperation between the parents and the school.
The headmaster was talking to Don Bosco Radio while reading out his School Annual Evaluation Report in his office.
Makerdit Primary is one of the government schools in Tonj State.
