Two people were killed in Yei on Saturday evening, Yei River State Governor reports.
David Lokonga Moses told Christians at Emmanuel Cathedral on Christmas Day that the deceased were members of the gallant forces, Radio Easter reports.
He says the bodies were dumped into a stream along Yei-Maridi road.
Governor Lokonga describes the attack as a ‘serious provocation’.
Yei River State has been experiencing insecurity following the outbreak of clashes in Juba in July.
Relative calm has returned to the state capital after a new force intervened.
