The Mayor of Juba City says currency devaluation in December 2015 and July violence in 2016 have disabled service delivery to residents.

Stephen Wani Michael tells Jubek State members celebrating Christmas Carol not to blame the state government for any failure of service delivery.

He explains that many tax payers such as businesspersons and companies in Juba City have fled the country due to insecurity and economic crisis.

Mayor Wani asks Jubek State Governor, Augustino Jadallah Wani to help address looming emergency of water supply in Juba in the approaching dry season.

He says the army water tankers that used to supply Juba City with water have been withdrawn.

Juba City Council lacks police to enforce bylaws for effective administration, Mayor Wani says.

The mayor advises Juba City residents to cooperate and love one another for effective service delivery to be realized.
