Four senior members of the United Democratic Front or UDF party have defected to SPLM party in Wau.
On Thursday afternoon, one of them, Fedeli Fringi said he was joining SPLM to work for peace and security, Radio Voice of Hope reports.
Albino Juma Farah, Secretary-General of UDF, Ann Nicola Kamilo, Assistant Secretary for Finance and Ali Shaib Dandra, another senior member reportedly joined SPLM.
Valentino Majok, SPLM State Secretary-General has received them on behalf of SPLM Chairman.
Majok welcomes the new members urging them to feel free with the rest of the comrades.
He says there is enough room in SPLM to accommodate all South Sudanese.
