James Monday Enoka on Thursday says there should be no shooting random shooting during the festival, promising to punish violators, Radio Anisa reports.
 
He discourages rumours during the festival and urges citizens to report any suspected issue to police station for quick action.
 
The Police Commissioner revealed that police officers have been deployed to all churches in Yambio to protect Christians during the celebrations.
 
Gbudwe State Assembly Speaker Paul Tambua calls on everyone to stop killing their fellows because it will not bring peace.
 
He urges the population of Gbudue State to maintain peace and forgive one another.
 
The officials made the remarks during their Christmas messages to Radio Anisa on Thursday in Yambio.
