The Catholic mission of Mapuordit in Rumbek diocese will dedicate tomorrow its St. Bakhita Pastoral and Youth Centre.
Sports are among the activities planned for the weekend leading to the inauguration involving teams from different communities together wiht speeches from religious and local government officials.
Bishop Caesar Mazzolari of Rumbek told Good News Radio that Mapuordit was one of the oldest missions in his diocese.
Bishop Mazzolari listed the various services available at Mapuordit Catholic Mission, including Primary and Secondary Schools and a referral hospital.
He added that the new centre will enhance pastoral work especially among the youth.
Bishop Mazzolari described the Mapuordit Pastoral and Youth Centre as a place of renewal.
He said that the Centre will be relevant to the entire Mapuordit community as it prepares for the Referendum, adding that the Centre will help promote Christian values.
