The President of the Republic of Uganda has made a surprise visit to his South Sudanese counterpart, Salva Kiir Mayardit as Christmas approaches.
President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni touched down at Juba International Airport on Thursday morning.
His surprise visit is to strengthen bilateral relations, the government affiliated television reports.
President Museveni calls on South Sudanese to stop fighting so that they can choose their leaders though democratic elections.
The Ugandan President is a frequent visitor to Juba as his counterpart Kiir is to Kampala.
