The three-day workshop on peace, reconciliation and safety among communities concluded on Thursday in Wau.
The meeting was organized by Community Empowerment for Progress organization, CEPO in partnership with Safer World, Radio Voice of Hope reports.
CEPO Coordinator Stephen Robo Musa says the seminar was to prepare youth, women and community leaders to become peace markers within their communities.
Participants gained knowledge to become peace makers and should start preaching it to their brothers and sisters, he adds.
Participant, Wol John Anei, says the workshop was interesting because it drew people from different places in Wau State who elaborated on the challenges.
Let the armed youth come together with the community as one family because war does not help, he adds.
Chief Peter Chut Cornelio of Hai Aweil Jadid says he is impressed with the national dialogue that President Salva Kiir announced this week.
He adds that the dialogue will open space for peace in the country.
Chief Chut calls on fellow chiefs in Wau State to work together with partners for peaceful coexistence among people.
