The Apostolic Nuncio to South Sudan on Sunday ordained Deacon Bairi Natale Timangi, a priest at St Mary Parish in Tombura.
Archbishop Charles Daniel Balvo on Monday also confirmed 524 Christians at the same parish, Radio Anisa reports.
He says it is the first time for him to conduct such an exercise in South Sudan since his appointment.
Bishop Barani Edward Hiiboro Kussala of Tombura/Yambio Catholic Diocese appreciates the faithful for welcoming Papal Ambassador to the parish.
He urges the congregation to commit themselves to God.
The Bishop was reacting after unknown assailants killed two young men over the weekend in Tombura County.
