Health Secretariat on Thursday started training for vaccinators in Kumbur Payam of Heiban County in Nuba Mountains.
Ahmed Ismail, Immunization Program Director says the course is targeting those trained in September to vaccinate children, Radio Voice of Peace reported.
The workshop brought together 45 people from all the counties of the region, he adds.
The Director advises parents in various communities to always take their children for vaccination.
He says the immunization is a collective responsibility and that traditional leaders should facilitate the exercise.
The training that started on Thursday is expected to conclude on December 24.
