The Humanitarian Country Team in South Sudan is gravely concerned about the deteriorating operating environment.
The Team in a statement on Wednesday reacted to South Sudan recent expulsion of the Norwegian Refugee Council Country Director and ordering for a second senior staff to leave.
It condemns the deportation of the head of the Council in South Sudan and stands in full solidarity with it.
The Team calls on the government of South Sudan to reverse its decisions and cooperate fully with all international organizations working to bring aid to the people.
The Humanitarian Country Team said expulsions undermine the ability of humanitarian agencies to operate when the crisis is deepening and aid is needed.
The Team said it remains firmly committed to assisting the most vulnerable in South Sudan.
It calls for minimum conditions to be met in order to fund and implement humanitarian operations so that aid agencies can deliver services.
