SPLA Chief of General Staff says South Sudan Ambassador in Democratic Republic of Congo, DRC is expected to visit detained soldiers who fled fighting in Yei.
 
General Paul Malong Awan admits that 55 SPLA soldiers overpowered in Lasu battle have crossed to DRC, Radio Bakhita reports.
 
The SPLA Chief told journalists on Friday that he would facilitate a visit to the detained soldiers to seek their consent to return to South Sudan as military personnel.
 
General Malong admits that opposition forces have taken over Kegulu, Ombachi and Lasu areas of Yei.
 
Reinforcement is underway to rescue the situation, he says.
 
The SPLA denies deployment of 4000 militia force in Equatoria region.
 
The army also denies having forces in Luri area, saying it has only 4000 presidential guards for civil military relations.
