The presence of forces in Yei town is for peace, the state governor tells citizens in his Christmas message.

David Lokonga Moses says ‘the friendly forces’ in the town are not to fight, but protect civilians and their property, Radio Easter reports.

The forces will enable residents to freely move to form town to their areas and vice versa, he adds.

Lokonga calls on the displaced residents to return to their areas and gather their food crops.

The state governor appeals to the armed groups to allow Christians celebrate the birth of Jesus in peace.
