Governors of Tonj and Gok States discussed peaceful co-existence during the dry season and beyond.
 
The meeting in Tonj brought together ministers, security advisors, organized forces, commissioners, legal advisors among other authorities, Radio Don Bosco reports.
 
Governor Akec Tong Aleu of Tonj State, emphasized on the need to deploy joint forces along the border areas.
 
He called for putting in place modalities to address logistics problem.
 
Tong requested his colleague to disarm his people as he has done in the state.
 
He stressed on the need to arrest culprits and return raided cattle to the rightful owners.
 
Tong said more than 500 looted cattle were identified in Tonj and returned to the owners in Gok State.
 
Governor Majok Mayen of Gok State said disarmament is paramount to both sides.
 
He suggested regulation of the movement of cattle between the two states.
 
The meeting resolved to conduct peace conference, disarmament civilians and arrest of thieves among others.
